As of now there isn't a lot of stuff here, so the sitemap will take shape slowly.
You probably will not have clicked this link expecting something, but since you're here anyways, I guess it's about time I tell you that there isn't anything here yet, so go ahead and click BACK on your browser
Hi everybody,
I am Arjun from planet Earth, and this is my awesome website. Seriously it is! If you don't think so there's something wrong with
your browser(If you're still using IE, close this window, get up quietly and jump off the nearest cliff) or worse yet the problem is with you.
In case of the former, what are you still doing here, go look for the cliff! but in case of the latter, you should stay here longer to get to know me and realize your own potential
to be awesome. I believe that everyone, except for some exceptions, have the potential to be awesome, so don't get disheartened.
Alright, enough of self-hype, I have designed this website, why? I don't really know that, it just seemed like a cool thing to do. Everything here has been hand-to-mouse-picked by me. All the
hover effects, image designing, and photographs are mine. My heartfelt gratitude goes to the numerous active members at forums about CSS and HTML, and especially to w3schools, for the brilliant and to-the-point tutorials.
The designing took me a lot of time, I worked on it almost everyday after returning from office over the past month, and it was a very worthy experience. Especially as I didn't rip any template and made it all myself. As a result of this I haven't been able to blog too often lately, and that has been
very painful. This is going to continue for sometime, but I'll try and put up a post now and then.
The links to my blog, photo album and twitter album are to the top right. Don't visit unless you have nothing really interesting to do.
I am not going to request you to keep coming back to this site or to send feedback. However if you're losing sleep over it, do shoot me a mail, if it makes you feel better.
I am very good at taking up new hobbies, and even better at giving them up once they get boring(after all if it gets boring it's no longer a hobby right?) So I made a separate section for hobbies. Some that come to my mind immediately are:
>>Reading
>>Movies
>>several outdoor sports
>>Blogging
>>Running.. a recent one
>>Writing.. haven't begun but have given it a lot of thought
>>Rubik's Cube.. another recent one
>>Travelling.. one's that's here to stay
>>Guitar.. started well but has been ignored for some time, hope to get back soon
rest for later
When I started off with running, it was just one more of those things I tried my hand at. The best thing is that, though it doesn't look like I am
getting any better at it(yeah, I can run a lot but that's about it, I speed is still below par) it seems to have just caught onto me like a bug. Once
I returned to Bangalore, the urge just became stronger. So here's a little list of my running activities
>>OCBC Cyle Singapore -40km Cycling(March 2009)
>>Adidas Sundown Marathon -Full Marathon(June 2009)
>>RFL's Urban Stampede -4x5km Corporate relay(September 2009)
>>Kaveri Trail Marathon -Half Marathon(October 2009)
>>Nike Human Race -10km(October 2009)
>> .. and by the looks of it many more to come!
I believe that to know the level of organisation one has in one's life can be gauged by the number of things in his 'random', 'stuff' or 'miscellaneous' folder. Moreover I believe also that I am disorganised, so in this folder you can expect this section to be updated with the following things:
>>My bucketlist
>>My life's experiences
>>Movies
>>Stuff about my education
>>BITS-Pilani
>>Friends and family
>>a lot more random stuff...
Here's my bucket list. My ideas and priorities will definitely change over time, and accordingly this list will keep changing. However, it will be great fun to see how much the things that are 'important' to me change as I grow older:-
1. Making my own website, and displaying my bucketlist to the world... this is the latest one to tick off :P
2. Featuring on the cover of a "prominent" magazine... newspaper will do too, by prominent I mean one that when it happens, it should be my acquaintances calling up to tell me about it, rather than the other way round
3. Laying foot on every continent... one down, six more to go
4. Bungy jumping...done this one in Macau, that too the world's highest, so I get extra points
5. Author a book... this is definitely not going to be technical, maybe I should have written novel, but actually a book would do
6. Fly a plane by myself... by myself meaning that if I feel like killing myself, I should be able to
7. Learn swimming well... to the extent that if I want to try a triathlon, I shouldn't fear drowning
8. Run a marathon... have already done this one, and cycled one too
9. Participate in a triathlon... very intimately linked to the previous two points
10. Learn a musical instrument... this ones tougher than I thought, not that I lack enthu, people around me can't take the noise!
11. Do a stand-up comedy performance... I know lots of people I know will say that this happens every time I go on stage, but I want it to be intentional! :)
... more later
